Mike Ketcham

Born on June 21, 1957 and raised by middle-class parents in Elkhart, Indiana Mike Ketcham was taught at an early age the values of hard work and civic responsibility. Living in Defiance since 1980 he has been employed for 25 years at the Hornish Group in Defiance, Ohio currently as the SR VP of Operations, his leadership and organization have helped drive the company forward, this experience will serve him well as your City Councilor.

Ketcham is a 1975 graduate of Prairie Heights High School in Lagrange, IN. He is currently serving on the Defiance County Community Improvement Corporation Feasibility study group. He is a strong supporter of economic development efforts that create jobs by attracting new businesses as well as retaining the jobs within our city’s current business sector. Ketcham believes that economic development should not stop and start with new businesses. Defiance must build strong relationships with our current employment base.

Ketcham is a member of: St. John Lutheran, Eagles, Elks, Optimist Club, Defiance Fish and Game, Defiance County Rifle and Pistol club and the Omega Lodge. His wife Kristin is employed by Fountain City Leasing which is located here in Defiance. He has 5 children, Beverly, Manchester, MI, Brandon, Toledo, Adam, Defiance, Ashley, Toledo, and Michaela at home. In addition he has 8 grandchildren.
