Department Chaplain

The Defiance Police Department has recently appointed Tim Harlo, the Youth Pastor at the First Baptist Church here in Defiance, Ohio as our Police Chaplain. The Police Chaplain provides additional support to the public and the police officers in times of crisis.

The Police Chaplain will provide support when our officers are dealing with victims of crime, death notifications, visiting police officers and their families when they are ill and offering prayers at special services. Pastor Harlo will be an asset to the Defiance Police Department and its officers and we look forward to working along side Pastor Harlo.
