Leaf Pickup Schedule
Now that fall is upon us, the City of Defiance Street Division is directing its attention towards the annual leaf clean up program. Beginning Monday, October 24 and continuing through November 23, the Street Division will be picking up leaves. At least two passes will be made on all streets. Residents should rake their leaves to the edge of the street. However, in order to prevent plugging of catch basins, please refrain from raking them INTO the street. They must not add grass clippings or garden refuse to the piles. As in previous years, the City will NOT be collecting bagged leaves. City compost site at 26273 St Rt. 281 East is available for disposing of leaves. Information regarding collection schedules will be made available to all local news media networks. Residents can also call 782-6582 to receive a pre-recorded schedule. This will be the final pass. Final closing for Compost Site will be Nov. 22. Fri. November 18 All streets north of Maumee River, east of Clinton St.
