Kingsbury pump station is the main collection point for wastewater in the City of Defiance. The Kingsbury Pump Station is located in Kingsbury Park, the Kingsbury Pumping Station receives wastewater from the Maumee, Summit Street, and East Auglaize Interceptor Sewers. The pumping station was built in 1956, and contains four dry‑pit submersible wastewater pumps. Two pumps have variable speed drives which range from 1600 to 3700 gpm. The other two pumps are constant speed and have capacities of 3750 gpm and 1300 gpm, respectively. The variable speed pumps allow the ability to pump at various rates.

Design capacity is 9.3 mgd. The wastewater is pumped into a 20‑inch force main which discharges into the sewage inlet chamber at the WPCF.
